A Wetland Grows in Worton

When completed, this restoration project will filter and clean water from 200 acres and will include a 1.27 acre restored wetland with native habitat, a grass bioswale, and a wildflower meadow. This wetland will reduce nutrient and sediment pollution to Riley’s Mill Creek, and ultimately, the Chester River and Chesapeake Bay.

Many thanks to our project partners: Partnerships for Ecological Restoration, Maryland’s Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Trust Fund, the Kent County Commissioners, and Blessings Environmental Concepts LLC.
